My name is Bridget Grover, and I'm a sales associate at Strong's at Grover's, located in Freeport. The business was started by my grandfather, Al Grover, over 70 years ago on the south shore of Long Island. Now my dad, Dante Grover, runs the business, and they are both heroes to me. I'm thrilled to be entering the business as the third generation. In 2017, Strong's Marine and Grover's formed a partnership, selling five brands of new boats, which allows us to cover both the north shore and south shore of Long Island and get families on the water.
As for my own experience with boating, my family boat is the Cruisers Yachts 390 Express Coupe. This summer, I had my bachelorette party on the boat with my 10 closest girlfriends. We dropped anchor off the shore of Fire Island and had a dance party from the bow all the way to the stern. Whenever I'm on Cruisers Yachts, we always turn heads on the south shore of Long Island. When I arrived at Sea View for my honeymoon, many people approached the boat. It was not only because we were a young couple on a fabulous boat, but also because these boats are not commonly seen.
The Cruisers Yachts have so many cool features and great music that it's always a sight to see. The boat's open space allowed us to enjoy the whole boat and never feel separated, whether we were on the bow or jumping off the swim platform at the back.
The Cruisers Yachts is a perfect boat for me at this point in my life, as I can have parties on it, cook food, serve multiple people, and enjoy the entire boat. However, it's also a great boat for families, as it has excellent safety features, such as the grab rail when walking forward to the bow and the fully enclosed helm station. The fully integrated windshield provides great visibility for the driver and sightseeing for all passengers. Additionally, the boat is well-made and solid, offering a sense of safety even in rough waters commonly experienced on the south shore of Long Island.
