Chapman School of Seamanship  - Confidence on the Water

How did this course come about?

The inception of this course can be attributed to Mark Taiclet, the Director of Brand Management at Pursuit Boats. As a lifelong boater, Mark noticed first hand how boaters were doing things that they shouldn't be doing and not following the boating etiquette. It was then that Mark set our to develop this program with the Chapman School of Seamanship.

As novice boaters embark on the water, emphasizing general safety and etiquette has become increasingly crucial. The primary aim of the program is to instill confidence on the water, ensuring individuals are well-prepared to relish their boating experience while upholding proper practices. Pursuit was immediately impressed by the exceptional quality of training offered by the Chapman School.

What to Expect from a Chapman School Course?

The course spans two days, totaling 12 hours of comprehensive training.
