Key Takeaways from the 2019 Fall Newsletter

FALL INTO A NEW BOAT

It’s been an extra special boating season for all of us here at Strong’s. In the pages to come, discover some of the summer's highlights, along with a look ahead. We were thrilled to receive our first Cruisers Yachts inventory this summer. Having had the pleasure of cruising on many of these boats, I can say they are truly ideal craft for our waterways. Tour the range at a fall show, or on location by appointment.

Strong’s Fishing Team hosted our 3rd annual Mattituck Madness Tournament this season, and triumphed at the Hamptons Offshore Invitational, taking first place Albacore on the Pursuit S408. Partnering with Pursuit and Grady-White, we’re looking forward to delivering more fishing fun in 2020! Some of my family’s favorite moments this summer happened at our customer rendezvous.

More than 80 clients and teammates spent a long weekend adventuring together in Newport – here I am with Re and two of our grandchildren at Friday night’s glorious cocktail event at OceanCliff. Also this season, we invited Sunseeker owners to join us at our own Water Club destination resort at the base of Mattituck Inlet for an exclusively curated North Fork itinerary. Mark your calendar now for our 2020 destination rendezvous the weekend of July 24-26 – a special 75th anniversary edition you will not want to miss!

This fall, we hit the open water for boat show season. It’s always gratifying to cap off a summer of great boating by sharing our manufacturers’ newest design and engineering launches with you.

We’ll hope to see you soon!
As we head towards another record year of connecting happy clients with boats to fulfill their dreams, I extend a heartfelt thank you from myself and the Strong’s team for your loyalty, friendship and business.

IMAGINE THAT! - BOATING ADVENTURES WITH THE KRAMER FAMILY

Marc Kramer grew up on the Long Island Sound with a passion for sailing, and spent his summers teaching the sport to others. As he and his wife, Kelly, started a family, they found that power boating was a great way to spend time on the water together. They and their kids - Emily, 20; Matthew, 18 and William, 14 - fell in love with watersports on their 35' powerboat, and eventually upgraded to a 48' yacht to accommodate their growing family (and their expanding collection of water toys.)

In 2017, a chance meeting at the New York Boat Show led the Kramers to their dream
boat. Marc met Steve Leeson, VP of Operations at Sunseeker USA, at the Strong’s Marine and Sunseeker booth at the show. Steve introduced Marc to the Sunseeker Predator range. Marc and Kelly liked the layout and usage of space on board and the sleek and unique design inside and out. Learning about Strong's Marine in conversation with President Jeff Strong and Yacht Sales Manager Rob Bianco, they were impressed with the operation's history, size and success.

That year, the Kramers customized and purchased the Sunseeker 57 Predator and took delivery in the spring of 2018. The Kramers had always wanted to explore more destinations and now with this bigger yacht, it was finally time!

This summer alone, the Kramers have visited Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Block Island, Watch Hill, Newport, Montauk, Greenport, Mattituck, Shelter Island and Port Jefferson on their 57 Predator. When the Kramers are not exploring new horizons, their Sunseeker sits on a mooring in Lloyd Harbor on the Sound. With all the exciting places they’ve visited, the mooring remains a family favorite for a day of relaxation on the water. The Kramers have stocked their vessel with tons of toys –paddleboards, floating mats and a Williams Jet Tender among them. The Kramers attended Strong’s first annual Sunseeker Rendezvous in June 2019, bringing along friends and fellow Sunseeker owners for a weekend of fun and celebration. They danced with Brazilian dancers on Friday night and closed down Saturday's fireside nightcap.

During the Rendezvous, Marc demoed a SEABOB and knew it would be a perfect addition to their
water toy collection. Marc instantly fell in love, and affectionately named their SEABOB "Bob." He
shows off his new friend wherever they anchor up! His friends enjoy testing it out and getting a
whole new experience on the water.

The Kramers have formed a unique bond with Strong’s Marine team members Ted Webb (Yacht
Support Manager) and Will Korinek (Senior Service Advisor), leaving them at ease knowing that the Strong’s Marine service team is always available to enhance their boating experience. Marc has even
become Ted’s apprentice at times, learning about Sunseeker’s unique mechanical features while
shadowing the master.

Over two seasons, the Kramers have put 350 hours on their 57 Predator, creating endless memories,
among them joining Strong's for events in Newport, Mattituck and Robins Island Cove. But perhaps their favorite memories are made on their mooring in the Long Island Sound when they can just enjoy relaxing time together as a family - because that’s what it’s all about.

STRONG'S MARINE FISHING TEAM

2019 marked the launch of Strong’s Fishing Team, dedicated to introducing clients to the thrill of fishing on our premier Pursuit and Grady-White fishing boats. Thanks to the passion of our fishing experts Capt. Mike Forman, Chris Jamieson and others, we introduced clients to porgy fishing and offshore adventures, and our Pursuit S408 team took home first place for largest Albacore at the Hamptons Offshore Invitational!

STRONG'S RENDEZVOUS

In late July OF 2019, we set course to Newport Harbor Marina for a very special Strong's Rendezvous. More than 80 guests joined us for a weekend of fun and friendship! A trip to OceanCliff for sunset cocktails and Caribbean music kicked off the weekend's activities, and we had plenty of time to experience Newport's shopping, dining and nightlife. After a Sweet Send Off breakfast on Sunday, we bid farewell to an exciting and memorable weekend with our team and clients.
