Grady-White Boats has announced a groundbreaking ownership transition designed to protect the company’s values, people, and commitment to quality for generations to come.

Longtime owner Eddie Smith is gifting control and ownership of the company to the Grady-White Boats Perpetual Purpose Trust and an affiliated nonprofit organization. This historic structure is the first of its kind in the marine industry and the largest transition of its type in the United States since Patagonia adopted a similar model in 2022.
