Our Passion for Day Boating & Water Sports with Cobalt Boats
Hi, my name is Rachel Pena, and I'm a sales consultant at Strong's Marine. I've been with Strong's for 12 years, and during my time here, we have grown from five locations and 50 employees to now having around 100 employees. It's been an exciting journey to see our company expand from small boat riders to the yacht family. We take pride in offering a wide range of boating options to cater to everyone's needs.
One of the highlights of our summer is packing up the boat and heading to a beach like Orient. It's a special experience to see families grow, starting with a day boat, then moving up to a little cabin boat, and eventually owning a yacht. We truly have something to offer for anyone interested in boating, which is fantastic.
Another memorable experience was wake surfing at a Strong's raft up during the summer. Our representative, who is a competitive water sport enthusiast, was there to coach me through it. With his guidance, I was able to surf behind the boat for a longer time, enjoying the freedom on the water. Witnessing everyone's smiles and laughter made it a truly great day on the water.
Are Cobalt boats good?
Recently, Cobalt introduced their new R Series, particularly the even-numbered models. We just received our first R6, which is available as both a stern drive and an outboard. We're particularly excited about the outboard model, which has a slightly different interior design compared to the R35 and R7. It features a more angled design instead of being rounded. The boat offers convenient access to the head compartment, allowing you to open the door without adjusting the companion seat. Additionally, there is amazing storage space in the floor, and I was amazed at the size of the walk-through storage compartment on the R6 outboard—I could fit in it with my hands above my head. The boat's design prioritizes interior width, providing a larger space compared to many competitors at the same length overall. Moreover, the depth of the boat ensures safety for your family, and the storage compartments are well-placed and easily accessible. All in all, it offers a great and secure ride.
