Marine Service Technician Week

We recently celebrated Marine Service Technician Week with @AbycincOrg ! In honor of our outstanding technicians we recognize Jon Acosta! As our company wide foreman, Jon is constantly on the go assisting each of our locations' technicians daily! We thank him for his dedication to the industry that allows our customers to enjoy their days on the boat!

Jon Acosta has been with Strong's Marine for over 19 years.  Jon is the company wide shop foreman and technician manager and is based in Mattituck. You may see him at any one of our four Mattituck locations. Jon will often travel from each location, providing assistance to the service departments when needed.

Over the past 19 years Jon has been able to witness first hand the technological advancements when it comes to new boats. When he got into the boat service business in 1998 there was still many carburetors but now boats have evolved to include fuel injection systems, catalysts, exhaust systems and electronic controls. Everything is now more automated and with the introduction of technology it really keeps those in service on their toes as far as training. Jon mentions" It is a great sense of pride here at Strong's being able to see those changes, adapt to those changes."

Jon believes, as well as many other members of our team, that the best time of the year is when the boats go back in the water leading into the summer. No matter the time of year Strong's Marine has a boat that fits your lifestyle and can help service your boat in the off season.
