At Strong's Marine, we proudly offer quick launch docking services at two convenient locations on the North and South Fork. With our quick launch docking service, previously known as valet docking, at Mattituck Bay and Southampton Peconic Bay, we aim to make the boating experience as hassle-free and enjoyable as possible for our valued customers. 

Quick launch dockage provides boat owners with an easy and seamless transfer of your boat from a high and dry spot into the water ready for the day. With our dockage service you will be provided with the following: engines warm up, unlimited launching 7 days a week from April 15th to October 15th with one hour’s notice, Fresh water flush of your engines every week your boat is used, Canvas removal and recovering, and a cleaning of the boat after every haul.

Quick Launch Docking Step by Step

1) Request Quick Launch Dockage in the App - Make sure to notify our team one hour prior to your desired departure time. 

2) Our team carefully launches your boat, while you get your friends and family ready for the day at home!

3) We prepare your boat for the day - Our team will remove the protective canvas, skillfully guide the boat into its designated slip, thoroughly cleanse and wipe the vessel, and ensure it is fueled up and ready for your day on the water!

What is High and Dry Storage?

High and dry storage for boats, also known as dry stack storage or rack storage, is a popular and convenient method of storing boats out of the water when they are not in use. Instead of keeping the boat in a traditional wet slip or mooring, the boat is stored on a rack system in a storage facility or outdoors.
 
A rack system can hold multiple boats and are made out of a sturdy metal that supports the weights of a variety of boats. A forklift or crane, usually owned and operated by your marina is used to lift and maneuver the boat properly. 
 
What are the advantages of high and dry storage?

1) Convenience: Boat owners can skip the time-consuming process of launching and retrieving their boats, as the storage facility takes care of these tasks. Quick launch docking also it cuts down on the preparation in the summer and allows your boat to be ready to go. 

2) Protection: Boats are shielded from harsh weather conditions and potential damage that can occur when they are constantly exposed to water. On Long Island, summer storms can accumulate water on your boat. Without proper preparation and maintenance, your boat could be at risk for water damage. 

3) Reduced Maintenance: By keeping the boat out of the water when not in use, it can minimize issues like algae growth, barnacle attachment, and corrosion, reducing maintenance needs and the frequent need for bottom painting.

4) Longer Lifespan: Storing boats out of the water can extend their lifespan, as they are not constantly exposed to saltwater, which can lead to wear and tear.
