Fishing Lifestyle with Grady-White Boats
My name is Chris Belanzoni, and I'm the sales manager and location manager for Strong's at Grover's in Freeport. My Grady White boat is called the Kismet Joe, named after my daughter and a small village on Fire Island named Kismet. One exciting moment was when my grandson caught his first snapper using an old school bamboo pole with a single hook and a spearing. After catching the fish, he naturally ran in the opposite direction.
Is Grady White a good boat brand?
Grady Whites are known for their ability to handle rough weather and were designed by naval architects to provide a soft, comfortable, and dry ride regardless of sea conditions. While the Grady White is designed for comfort and speed, it also has built-in features that fishermen appreciate, such as great rod placement, deep gunnels, and insulated coolers. These features make it easy to quickly access the necessary tools when we want to harvest a fish.
I have been fishing the south shore of Long Island and participating in tournaments like the Hudson Anglers Tournament and the Wood Clef Fishing Station Tournament for decades. The Grady Whites I have run have played a significant role in my success. I have been fortunate enough not only to participate in these tournaments but also to capture fish that placed in the top five. In 1997, I won the Wood Clef Fishing Station Tournament with a 175-pound mako, and in 2005, our crew took third place with a 272-pound thresher caught and brought back on a Grady White.
